I send you greetings of grace and peace from the RECOWA Secretariat in Abuja.
As we begin the new month of November, the month of prayer for the dead, I pray for the eternal repose of all the deceased members of RECOWA and wish you a fruitful month.
Within the last one month we have had a few good and sad news.
- Appointment of Bishops
RECOWA was blessed with two episcopal appointments in October:

With these appointments, Most Rev. Boniface Ziri officially become emeritus bishops while the President of RECOWA, Most Rev. Alexis T. Youlo moves from Agboville to San Pedro. We thank them for their great service to the Church and humanity.
- Presidential Council Meeting
The Presidential Council meeting of RECOWA will be held from 1 to 4 December 2025 at the CCPM, in Abidjan.
- 12th Standing Committee
The 12th Standing Committee of RECOWA will hold from 4 (arrival) to 9 (departure) February 2026 at the CCPM in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire while the Finance Committee will be on 4 February at the same venue. All the Presidents of the Episcopal Conferences, the Charmen of the Episcopal Commissions and the members of the Finance Committee are respectfully prayed to reserve these dates in their personal diaries.

In the month of October, RECOWA lost three bishops:

Excellences,
Je vous adresse mes salutations de grâce et de paix depuis le secrétariat des CERAO à Abuja.
En ce début de mois de novembre, mois de prière pour les défunts, je prie pour le repos éternel de tous les membres défunts des CERAO et vous souhaite un mois fructueux.
Au cours du dernier mois, nous avons eu quelques bonnes et quelques mauvaises nouvelles.
- Nomination des évêques
CERAO a eu la chance de recevoir deux nominations épiscopales en octobre :

Suite à ces nominations, Mgr Boniface ZIRI devient officiellement évêque émérite, tandis que le président des CERAO, Mgr Alexis T. YOULO quitte Agboville pour San Pedro. Nous les remercions pour leur dévouement exceptionnel à l’Église et à l’humanité.
- Réunion du Conseil de Présidence
La réunion du Conseil présidentiel de la RECOWA se tiendra du 1er au 4 décembre 2025 au CCPM, à Abidjan.
- 12e Conseil Permanent
La 12e réuniondu Conseil Permanent des CERAO se tiendra du 4 (arrivée) au 9 (départ) février 2026 au CCPM à Abidjan, en Côte d’Ivoire, tandis que la réunion du Comité Finance aura lieu le 4 février au même endroit. Nous prions respectueusement tous les présidents des Conférences épiscopales, les présidents des Commissions épiscopales et les membres du Comité Finances de bien vouloir noter ces dates dans leur agenda.

Au cours du mois d’octobre, CERAO a perdu trois évêques :
