Une grande leçon que l’épidémie actuelle de coronavirus enseignera à nos dirigeants africains est l’amour pour leur pays et l’amour pour les personnes qu’ils dirigent. L’AGENCE DE PRESSE RECOWACERAO est d’avis que la cupidité et l’égoïsme de nos dirigeants ont maintenu le continent africain sous-développé. De nombreux scientifiques ont témoigné que nous avons toutes les ressources minérales, naturelles et humaines nécessaires pour être à l’avant-garde en termes de développement, mais l’avarice et l’égocentrisme ont continué à brouiller les sens de divers dirigeants africains. L’AGENCE DE NOUVELLES DE RECOWACERAO dénonce le fait que beaucoup de nos dirigeants préfèrent envoyer leurs enfants à l’école dans le pays de Whiteman plutôt que de construire cette bonne école sur leur propre terrain au profit d’autres enfants. Ils préfèrent aller aux États-Unis, à Londres, en France, etc. pour leurs traitements médicaux plutôt que de construire et d’équiper des hôpitaux dans leur propre pays. Un bon nombre d’entre eux préfèrent stocker leur argent dans des banques étrangères et appauvrir leur pays. Tant qu’ils et leurs familles immédiates vont bien, les masses qui les ont élus au poste peuvent souffrir et mourir. Ils ne se soucient pas du bien-être des personnes qu’ils sont appelés à gouverner. C’est pourquoi la RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY a été attirée par les gestes d’amour, d’inquiétude et de sympathie manifestés par l’Amérique, l’Europe, etc. pour leur peuple en cette saison de COVID-19. Cette marque d’amour fait défaut sur notre continent africain, mais nous sommes optimistes que les dures leçons de la pandémie de coronavirus iront un long chemin dans la refonte de la mentalité de nos dirigeants africains pour un avenir meilleur.

Hier, notre correspondant basé au Nigéria a déclaré dans la presse que pas moins de 585 citoyens américains et canadiens avaient été transportés par avion de Lagos et Abuja. L’évacuation répondait aux demandes des ressortissants, qui se sentaient en danger de rester dans un pays étranger en cette saison troublée malgré la prévalence relativement faible de la propagation du coronavirus et des décès qui en découlent.

Une décision prise plus tôt pour évacuer les citoyens américains, dont la majorité avait la double nationalité, a échoué ce week-end, le transporteur affrété n’ayant pas été autorisé par les autorités.

Deux avions d’Ethiopian Airlines (ET) ont toutefois été déployés hier à l’aéroport international Murtala Muhammed (MMIA) pour transporter les passagers. Un ET Boeing 767, portant le numéro d’immatriculation ET-ALO, a évacué 137 Canadiens de Lagos et 63 autres d’Abuja.

L’avion a quitté Abuja pour Addis-Abeba, en Éthiopie, en route vers Toronto, au Canada. L’AGENCE DE NOUVELLES DE RECOWACERAO a appris que chacun des voyageurs a payé de sa poche plus de N1.45 million ($ 5000CAD).

Un autre Boeing 777-300 a également évacué 385 ressortissants américains de l’aéroport de Lagos. L’avion a décollé vers 16 h 40 pour Washington DC.

Many Scientists have testified that we have all the mineral, natural and human resources it takes to be on the forefront in terms of development but avarice and self-centeredness have continued to becloud the senses of various African leaders. RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY decries the fact that many of our leaders prefer sending their children to school in the Whiteman’s land instead of building that good school in their own land to benefit other children. They prefer going to the USA, London, France, etc. for their medical treatments instead of building and equipping hospitals in their own countries. A good number prefer stocking their money in foreign banks and impoverishing their countries. As long as they and their immediate families are okay, the masses that elected them into the office can suffer and die. They are not worried about the welfare of the people they are called upon to rule. This is why RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY was attracted by the gestures of love, concern, and fellow-feeling being manifested by America, Europe, etc. for their people in this season of COVID-19. This brand of love is lacking in our African continent but we are optimistic that the hard lessons of Coronavirus pandemic will go a long way in overhauling the mentality of our African leaders for a better future.

Yesterday, our Nigeria based correspondent filed in the news that no fewer than 585 American and Canadian citizens were airlifted from Lagos and Abuja. The evacuation was in response to requests by the nationals, who felt insecure staying in a foreign land in this troubled season despite the comparatively low prevalence of the coronavirus spread and attendant deaths.

Earlier move to evacuate the American citizens, the majority of who had dual nationality, failed at the weekend as the operating chartered carrier was denied clearance by the authorities.

Two Ethiopian Airlines (ET) planes were, however, deployed yesterday to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) to carry the passengers. An ET Boeing 767, with registration number ET-ALO, evacuated 137 Canadians from Lagos and another 63 from Abuja.

The aircraft left Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia en route Toronto, Canada. RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY learned that each of the travelers paid out-of-pocket in excess of N1.45 million ($5000CAD).

Another Boeing 777-300 series aircraft also evacuated 385 American nationals from the Lagos airport. The aircraft took off at about 4.40 pm for Washington DC.
