At the end, the Rector of CCPM Abidjan Fr. SAGNA Celestin gave a condensed concluding background to the theme under review.

SOME OF THE QUESTIONS WE REFLECTED UPON WERE:

  1. Addressed to ARCHBISHOP ANDREW NKEA FUANYA

Synodality is today seen as a new face of the life of the Church. Having played an outstanding role in the previous synod, how would you explain the willingness of the African Church to imbibe or assimilate synodality as a method of Church leadership today?

  • Addressed to DR. NORA KOFOGNOTERA NONTERAH

Apparently, you are one of the female African delegates to the synod on synodality. What idea especially bordering on the care of the poor, the marginalized and the forgotten would you expect to find in a synodal African Church?

  • Addressed to ARCHBISHOP EDWARD TAMBA CHARLES

The synodal Church is one that recognizes the place of a bishop as the head of every discernment process in a synodal style. What are the vital roles that each bishop must play in order to establish the synodal life style in his diocese.

  •  Addressed to BISHOP EMMANUEL ADETOYESE BADEJO

Digital culture represents a fundamental change in the way we conceive reality today. Synodality sees the digital environment as a mission territory. How would you envisage the mission of the synodal church in this domain with particular reference to our African reality?

  • Addressed to SR. SOLANGE SAHON SIA

You are one of the few religious women who are delegates to the just concluded synod in Rome. The synodal Church places a lot of emphasis on the role of women in the Church. How would you project the role of women in the emerging synodal lifestyle of the Church, precisely what areas would you like to see improved in the role that the church accords to women?

The next edition of our online journal will publish the responses by the panelists. These questions are published for further reflection by our columnists as we look forward to the answers in due course.
