AGÊNCIA DE NOTÍCIAS DA RECOWACERAO, RECONA concluiu que o Sacerdote Enugu que morreu de COVID-19 veio da Espanha e serviu na Prelatura do Opus Dei, Emene, Enugu por mais de 28 anos.
Falando ao Correspondente da Agência de Notícias RECOWACERAO, RECONA, sobre a morte de pe. Joachim no fim de semana, o Oficial de Relações Públicas da Diocese Católica de Enugu, pe. Benjamin Achi disse que o falecido era um padre tão agradável, descontraído, cordial, generoso, orante e dedicado, enfatizando que “ele amava tanto o nosso povo e sempre participa da função diocesana”.
Ele revelou que seu corpo foi colocado para descansar na noite daquela quinta-feira muito negra em que ele morreu, seguindo as diretrizes do Centro Nacional de Controle de Doenças, NCDC.
“Como padres, não podemos fugir de nossos deveres pastorais, mas a única coisa é apenas tomarmos as precauções normais, tanto quanto possível, ao continuar ministrando às pessoas e administrando sacramentos.
“Sinceramente, sua morte chegou a nós como um choque grosseiro, porque não fazia muito tempo, há apenas uma semana, ele nos disse que tinha um teste positivo para o COVID-19 solicitando nossas orações.
“Todo mundo se sentiu mal por sua morte. O P. Joachim era da prelatura do Opus Dei, mas trabalha na diocese de Enugu há quase 30 anos.
“Então, ele é uma parte integrante de nós e realmente nos sentimos mal por sua morte – todo mundo, começando do bispo a todos os padres e fiéis.
“Perder alguém que faz parte do presbitério em Enugu por tantos anos dessa maneira é terrível. Mas o que podemos fazer senão orar pelo repouso de sua alma?

RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY, RECONA a conclu que le prêtre Enugu décédé des suites du COVID-19 était originaire d’Espagne et avait servi dans la prélature de l’Opus Dei, Emene, Enugu pendant plus de 28 ans.
S’adressant au correspondant de RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY, RECONA à la mort du P. Joachim le week-end, le responsable des relations publiques du diocèse catholique d’Enugu, le père. Benjamin Achi a déclaré que le défunt était un prêtre si gentil, facile à vivre, cordial, généreux, priant et dévoué, soulignant qu ‘«il aimait tellement notre peuple et assistait toujours à la fonction diocésaine».
Il a révélé que son corps a été enterré dans la soirée de ce jeudi très noir où il est décédé, conformément aux directives du Centre national de contrôle des maladies, NCDC.
«En tant que prêtres, nous ne pouvons pas nous dérober à nos devoirs pastoraux, mais la seule chose est que nous prenions les précautions normales, autant que nous le pouvons, alors que nous nous apprêtons à servir les gens et à administrer les sacrements.
«Honnêtement, sa mort est venue à nous comme un choc brutal car il n’y avait pas longtemps, il y a un peu plus d’une semaine qu’il nous a dit qu’il avait été testé positif à COVID-19 en sollicitant nos prières.
«Tout le monde se sentait mal à propos de sa mort. Le père Joachim était de la prélature de l’Opus Dei mais il travaille dans le diocèse d’Enugu depuis près de 30 ans maintenant.
«Donc, il fait partie de nous et nous nous sommes vraiment sentis mal à propos de son décès – tout le monde, à commencer par l’évêque jusqu’à tous les prêtres et les fidèles.
«Perdre de cette manière quelqu’un qui fait partie du presbyterium d’Enugu depuis de si longues années est si terrible. Mais que pouvons-nous faire sinon prier pour le repos de son âme?

Joachim Cabanyes who died of COVID-19 at an Enugu isolation center. This is the first time Nigeria is losing a priest to COVID-19
RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY, RECONA gathered that the Enugu Priest who died from COVID-19 hailed from Spain and had served in Opus Dei Prelature, Emene, Enugu for over 28 years.
Speaking to the Correspondent of RECOWACERAO NEWS AGENCY, RECONA on the death of Fr. Joachim on weekend, the Public Relation Officer of Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Fr. Benjamin Achi said the deceased was such a nice, easy-going, cordial, generous, prayerful and dedicated priest, stressing that, “he loved our people so much and always attend Diocesan function”.
He disclosed that his body has been laid to rest in the evening of that very black Thursday he died, following the National Center for Disease Control, NCDC, guidelines.
“As priests, we cannot shy away from our pastoral duties, but the only thing is just for us to take the normal precautions, as much as we can, as we go about ministering to people and administering sacraments.
“Honestly, his death came to us as a rude shock because it had not been long, just over a week ago that he told us that he tested positive to COVID- 19 soliciting our prayers.
“Everybody felt bad about his death. Fr Joachim was of the prelature of the Opus Dei but he has been working in Enugu Diocese for close to 30 years now.
“So, he is a part and parcel of us and we really felt bad about his passing – everybody, beginning from the bishop to all the priests and the faithful.
“To lose someone that has been part of the presbyterium in Enugu for such long years in that manner is so terrible. But what can we do but to pray for the repose of his soul?
